What does it mean to be active?
--
You are active when you perform any physical activity with a moderate intensity that raises your heart rate. Walking, cycling, or playing any sport counts as being active. When you are active for:
🟢 at least 150 minutes a week, you are an active person
🟡 an average of 30–149 minutes a week, you are a fairly active person
🔴 fewer than 30 minutes a week, you are an inactive person.
When you perform any physical activity with vigorous intensity - you are sweating and/or out of breath - the time counts as double.
For example, Hanna spends 10 minutes walking🚶♀to and from her office every weekday on an average week. She also exercises🏋️♀️ vigorously for 30 minutes on Sundays. That’s walking: 100 minutes + excersing: 30*2 minutes = 160 minutes.
Hanna is an active person 🏃♀️.
